Valuable Job Search Tips For 2010
Secrets of Getting Hired
in 2010. Hiring Never Stops.
Hi. People
call me Matt. I can really help you find a job or a better one. Unemployment currently stands at 9.7%, but I see job seekers getting interviewed and hired all of the time. Hiring never stops. But a bad resume is your worst enemy. It will kill your chances. You can't expect to get hired with a weak or amateurish resume. Thousands of homemade resumes still look like mashed potatoes!
In the past 25 years, I have written or improved about 14,000 job winning resumes with "eye appeal". That's what you will need in 2010 -- a resume that stands out and beats the competition. (NOTE: I am NOT "one of a team of writers" or a part-timer. I do all of the writing myself.) "WHAT WILL IT COST?" Please email me your existing resume (or job information) to show me what you have done to date. Ask for a FREE resume evaluation (worth $45-75 and NOT boilerplate) and also for a price quote. It's that easy. My fees will be very reasonable and I can help you get hired in 2010. IF YOU'RE NOT GETTING INTERVIEWS IN 2010, HIRING A
FIRST-CLASS RESUME WRITER MAY BE YOUR BEST OPTION BUT SOME WRITERS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN OTHERS. Matthew Greene is a highly experienced resume expert who is willing and able to help you get hired in this scary recession. PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CALL.
WHY ME? Because I've been creating successful or winning resumes for 24 years. In particular, I have assisted hundreds of executives and managers who were victims of "downsizing" and "rightsizing" in 1986 and the late '80s, or who lost their jobs after Black Monday on Wall Street, or during the awful dot.com bust of the '90s, after 9/11, and during the downturn that followed. And in today's tough job market. ARE YOU CONFUSED by all of the resume writing services on the Internet with attractive websites? Do all give high quality service? NO! Do all have the right experience to assist you in 2010? NO! THEY DO NOT. The big resume services recruit and farm out work to part-time writers. Even M. dot com and L. dot com do that. Or writers may have fancy resume certifications but lack EXPERIENCE. Resume writing certifications, membership of resume associations and eye-catching websites DON'T guarantee results. In my view, a proven track record of many happy clients who were HIRED is worth much more. (See my 257 testimonials.) Certificates DON'T teach a resume writer to write well or how to MARKET a particular job seeker like yourself in the best way. It is obvious that some writers are more gifted, talented and successful than others. These are resume experts who also understand MARKETING. (My own resume office in New York City was rated # 1 out of 307 some twenty years ago.) As a successful resume writer and author of a best-selling resume book, about 90 percent of my clients have
been HIRED and I have dramatically shortened many frustrating job searches.
My site needs no "eye candy". because my articles have a #1 or Page 1 search engine rankings. Here you'll find free but valuable RESUME TIPS and job search advice for 2010 and you'll find lots more in my #1 Blog. [WINNING RESUMES BLOG for more recession "tips".] You can also SAVE MONEY on my focused and tailored resumes. They are affordable. (See my reduced prices.)
In 2010, a resume expert like myself and author of an award-winning book (with my own winning samples)
can help you beat this recession. To repeat, I have assisted many, many AT&T and other downsized executives in 1986, in the tough years following Black Monday on Wall Street, during the terrible dot.com bust of the '90s, and in the downturn after 9/11 in New York City. Best of all, I charge LESS for the highest quality and maximum effectiveness.
Your
resume will be designed and written or revamped or focused or tailored by
Matthew Greene, M.Phil himself -- NOT by any staff or "writing team" or
part-timer. (A TEAM DOES NOT WRITE A RESUME. You always need to know WHO will be writing it.) I am the
ONLY person you will deal with and I am well-known as an executive resume writer -- since 1985. I offer you my proven expertise to write/rewrite or revamp your executive or management resume -- even if I charge you LESS! You DON'T have to pay top dollar for a senior executive or management resume in order to get hired.
Each executive or management resume that I write or revamp or focus or tailor is
designed to be effective in getting you interviews. The secret of my
success as an executive resume writer is that I know how to "SELL" or market your
value to employers, especially in 2010. That's why I wrote my
book,
Winning Resumes (Penguin). It's about focused and tailored resumes and is a Fortune Book Club selection.
As long ago as 1985, my professional resume service on East 40th Street,
New York, NY was rated
#1 out of 307 resume writing offices nationwide.
Writing
your own resume will cost you valuable time and thousands of
$ $ $ in missed job opportunities in 2010. Using sample resumes in resume books WON'T help you much
because they were designed and written for other folks, several years ago. Do you know
how to "market" yourself in a tailored resume and cover letter?
I can help you write such a TAILORED resume and cover letter for the Great Recession..
To
sell yourself short on paper can be a BIG mistake! You
may not get to first base with a self-written executive or management resume. It's the
applicant with the best RESUME that often gets hired -- NOT
the one with the best credentials. That is a well known fact. For example, an outstanding I.T. executive had NO interviews for two years because his resume was so poorly done! It is so easy to blame the job market when your own resume may be too weak to compete successfully. So, please don't delay getting help from a first-class professional writer -- not your spouse or secretary. Time is NOT on your side.

"Thank you for taking my 'mish-mosh' and turning it into
such a professional presentation of my accomplishments."
E.K., Mansfield, OH
"Thanks for revamping my resume for the financial
services and technology industries. You have given my resume the "sell" it
lacked and I have had a few good interviews. "
R.B., New York, NY

Times have changed and what employers expect
to see in executive and management resumes has also changed. In 2010 , you should create
one or more TAILORED versions of your executive resume to help you explore more
options. Why?
First,
most sample resumes or resume templates or wizards are old, OUTDATED or too limited
to be of any value. (Many employers refuse to read, and major
job sites won't accept, the "skills" type of presentation.)
Second,
how well do you sell yourself in your executive resume?
In 2010, many executive and management resumes will need to be revamped or focused or tailored
even those written in perfect English! A professional executive resume writer like myself will know how to focus yours
and where to add and present your important "SELL".
Third,
writing a resume can be a nightmare because difficult decisions need to be
made! What is the right layout or style to use? How long should
it be? What must you highlight? What needs to be left out?
In the past 24 years as a full-time resume
writer, I have written or edited or critiqued or focused or tailored more than
14,000 resumes including about 6,000 for
supervisory, managerial,
senior executive, and consulting
positions. I have helped many people to get hired, even in past recessions.
(See 257 Success Stories / Testimonials -- in the Site Index. There are lots more but it is 20 pages long already!)

What This
Resume Writer Will
Do for You
-
I will communicate with you by phone, email, or in person.
(A completed form or questionnaire is rarely enough.)
-
I will develop or select the best design or layout and
length to give your resume the "eye appeal" that will impress
all busy screeners in 2010. [To learn how to choose a reliable resume service in 2010, how to write focused and tailored resumes, and for today's best executive F-O-R-M-A-T-S, please visit: http://www.SAMPLE-RESUMES-TIPS.COM ]
-
I will discover and identify your best "selling points"
and present them in the first 10-15 lines. (Your Value or Branding Statement.)
-
I will ensure that your keywords and accomplishments
JUMP out at the reader and not lie hidden in the text.
-
I will "clean up" your data. Experienced executive resume writers like myself
know what to downplay or omit (the so-called "red flag items").
-
Your "bullets" will now be
strategic and smart not 20 to 40 pretty dingbats as before. Less is more!
-
Your entire executive resume will be scannable in only 20
seconds.
In short, a skilled executive resume writer like myself will market your
value to today's employers in the best possible way to help you beat the Recession.
Resume Keywords "Sell" You to the Reader
Nowadays,
recruiters and computers scan your resume for "keywords". Highlighting the right keywords is crucial. They are the secret of winning resumes.
Matthew Greene strengthens your
executive resume by focusing it and giving it the best selling message.
He will highlight your best "selling points" or value.
What
to leave out may also be VERY important
Greene will impress picky recruiters in 2010 when he rewrites or revamps
your executive resume and cover letter. Starting with very little
information or with a homemade resume that has NOT worked, he
has the expertise to turn your background into a "winning"
resume and "blinding" cover letter.
Your revamped executive or management resume will impress employers before the
interview, make a winning impression during that meeting, and continue to
"sell" you afterwards (when the hiring decision is made by
committees).
Matthew Greene can also
create TAILORED versions of your executive resume to address the needs of
different audiences. In 2010, some job seekers need to use
more than one version because focused executive resumes work much better than a
"general" resume. Basic resumes WON'T work in this Recession.
Greene excels
at showing employers in 2010 how you could fit their needs.
This is how you get hired. It is the art of effective
presentation and it WORKS -- even in a recession!
